The Backpacker AVP 2.0 unit holds your scooter or power wheelchair inside your vehicle to protect it from the weather, other vehicles, and theft.  The AVP 2.0 easily mounts to the existing floor latches in the cargo area of your vehicle when the rear seat is removed so there are no holes to drill or modifications to your vehicle. By using a battery pack for a power source means you don't have to wire it to your car battery either. You can simply lift the battery pack from the AVP 2.0 when it needs a charge.  Plug the battery pack into a standard wall outlet and let it re-charge. The fully automatic single button lift operation means there is no work on your part...the lift moves outward, lowers to the ground, then moves up and into the vehicle entirely on its own. 

The Backpacker AVP 2.0 features an all-steel construction with a protective finish and a 12 volt  DC motor and battery pack. The two button hand control is easy to use and requires no manual work and with its 350 lb. weight capacity you can take your mobility unit with you wherever you go.  The Backpacker AVP 2.0 also features a manual override for emergency situations.

The Backpacker AVP 2.0 comes standard with a dual remote that can be hardwired and wireless for ease of operation and safety.  Safety features are a priority in the newly designed AVP 2.0.  A rear hatch safety sensor disables the lift from operation when the rear hatch door is closed to prevent inadvertent operation.  The hand control now has a lockout feature that is quick and easy engage.  The lockout feature prevents others from being able to operate the lift.  A low battery warning is standard.  A warning beep and light flashes will be emitted when your battery has less than 10 volts remaining.  A great new “puddle light” has been added to illuminate the platform area when surrounding lighting is dim.

The Pride Backpacker AVP 2.0 is a great solution for loading and unloading your scooter or power wheelchair into the cargo area of your SUV, crossover, full-size van, or mini-van. It has an adjustable platform for smaller SUVs (42"-34" overall length, 41"-33" useable surface).  A 26” maximum travel distance gives the AVP 2.0 great range for cargo door heights in a variety of vehicle types.
